Brian De Palma's 'Passion' Goes To Entertainment One, Not IFC Films; 2013 Release Planned
“Saraswathi” Short Yoga Documentary at the Bel-Air Film Festival
Change For Balance Productions is
set to premiere the short documentary, “Saraswathi,” at the Bel-Air
Film Festival on October 14th, 2012. Told through candid interviews with
the legend herself, “Saraswathi” is based on the life and teachings of Saraswathi Jois who was the first female to teach both men and women the practice of Ashtanga Yoga.
Shot on location in Mysore, India as well as Encinitas, California this
short documentary pays homage to not only Saraswathi’s incredible life,
but also her beautiful city, and her famous family. Saraswathi is the
only daughter of legendary yoga master Sri K. Patthabhi Jois and mother
of the current authority in the Ashtanga practice, Sharath Jois.
